Claude Cole photograph album, ca. 1920s-1930s.

The Claude Cole Photograph Album consists of 379 black and white photographs and several newsclippings. The photograph album is inscribed with the notation, "Claude Cole, U.S.F.S." and includes captions for the photographs. The bulk of the photographs are of the U.S. Forest Service ships "Brant" and "Kittiwake" and the work that was done by their crews in southeastern Alaska. Included are images of canneries, fishing, setting up of weirs for fish collection, and portraits of the friends and family of Claude Cole.

Claude Everette Cole was a member of the crew of the Bureau of Fisheries boat, "Kittiwake". He lived in Juneau, Alaska. He married Millicent May Clemence at St. George's Episcopal Church in Cordova, Alaska. They made their home in Cordova. The Clemance family had a Copper River Cooperative floating cannery.
